What the heck happened today
I don't have a whole lot to say but I don't understand what happened this morning just like when I was trying to get to the 50 lbs lost milestone I am hanging around the weight I am at now. I know that I gained weight this weekend because of everything I at but was able to lose most of it by now. What I don't get is that yesterday I was running all over Nashville, was so busy that I didn't get to have lunch, I worked out in the morning, and walked for a mile at night with the family so imaging my surprise when I got on the scale this morning and gained .2 lbs. I know that is almost nothing but I was surprised to see a gain in the first place. I hope tomorrow goes better.

One stormy day here in Nashville
Yet another day has gone by and yet another workout is in the books, I am just moving right along and can't wait to see my 9 week challenge come to an end. Yesterday my wife decided to start doing Active 2 as well. She is doing the three week challenge to see how that does for her, I very much enjoy that the two of us are able to support each other just by working out with the same game each day and talking about it later. This morning was pretty cardio focused I don't remember everything that I did but I do know that I did the skipping exercise 4 times, sprinted twice, did the mountain biking twice, and did some high knees and kick ups. As with every Monday I woke up to start the first workout of the week then went to my day job and finished up at my second job then started the whole thing again this morning (minus going to the second job). As I mentioned yesterday I did gain 2 lbs over the weekend by eating all the bad Easter stuff I really had no business eating but when I weighed myself this morning after two workouts this week and a long day yesterday I took 1.8 lbs back of so it was pretty much a wash. One thing I realized this morning was I kept thinking that Friday was the last day of the month and therefore the last workout that I was going to be able to do before my weigh in Saturday to see if I am able to get to that magic number of 190 before the end of the month but looking at the calendar I see that I was wrong and Saturday is the last day so I will be able to get one more workout and possibly some running or walking in and see come Sunday morning if I was able to get to 190. To help myself along I am still going to wake up a little early and do some light WiiFit yoga and some of the cardio exercises to stretch out and help prevent getting sore this week. I know I started by taking about the EA Active 2 workouts being pretty easy when compared to the NFL training camp that I just finished but I am slowly changing my mind. Like I said before I decided to do this 9 week challenge on medium because I did Active 1 and NFL training camp on easy and Active 2 is beginning to become more intense each day. I have not hit the 300 cals burned mark for a workout yet but I don't expect that it is too far away. Wish me luck on the 190 and I will continue to post how it is going.

So it has been a little while
I have had one heck of a busy week between the two jobs, Easter, and family but one thing I am pretty happy about is I never missed a workout and I even did the fifth one I used to do on Saturday. I knew that this was Easter weekend and that I was going to be staying away from the diet due to all the great food that was being prepared. I didn't lose focus or fall off my entire plan just took a small side road. When I did my fifth workout of the week I did the custom upper body workout I created in EA Active 2 and did it with the 25 lb resistance band that I have rather than the 15 I use during the week. I was not able to get through the entire workout before having to go back to the red bands but I know where I stopped and will try to get past that point next time. If I can get through the upper body workout a few times with the black bands I will start to make the move toward using those all the time. As for my end of April goal, I had a great last few days of the week and lost 4 lbs in 3 days...but then came the weekend. The damage was not as bad as I expected it to be considering I did workout Saturday, mowed the lawn Saturday, and walked a mile Sunday but I still gained 2 lbs over the weekend. In my defense I did eat so much at lunch on Sunday that I was not hungry again until lunch today. That put me back up to 196 when I was at 194 so now I need to lose 6 lbs rather than 4 by Saturday morning if I want to hit my goal. I still think that I can do it but I am just going to have to work a bit harder to do it. Tomorrow I am starting my day from the house so I am going to try and workout for 1.5 hours rather than 45 minutes to an hour and will most likely not take a rest day on Wednesday and do some light WiiFit or perhaps go for a run around the block a few times to get the weight I gained back off. I am more motivated now than ever to get to the 190 goal since gaining the weight this weekend to show myself that I can fall off the wagon as hard as I did yesterday but still remain focused and get to my overall goal of 165.

Going well so far this week
So things have been going well this week. If I didn't mention it already when I weighed myself on Tuesday morning I had lost 2.6 lbs since Monday morning and this morning I lost another .7 lbs so this week has been good. I am at 198 and still trying to get to 190 before the end of the month. Since I am no longer at the end of NFL Training camp and those really hard workout I look forward to the workouts since I am not sore for two days following a full body workout. I will let everyone know how the rest of the week goes and how I am doing getting down to the 190 by the end of the month.

Not the way I wanted to start my new 60 day challenge
So today I started the EA Active 2 sixty day challenge after finishing NFL Training Camp. Here are a couple of things that I forgot about Active. First of all after doing EA Active 1 and NFL Training camp I must be in much better shape as the first workout in EA Active 2 today was pretty easy and it only burned 184 calories where I was burning close to 400 calories a workout by the end of the 90 days in training camp. I fully expect to get to that level by the end of this 90 days as well. But for the time being since the workouts were are so short I will be adding some WiiFit just to get the calorie count up. The other thing I forgot is that Active feels more like a game than a workout so I was having more fun this morning than I did doing training camp which was more like a total workout. Now the bad news, I was not the best behaved person in the world when it comes to dieting this weekend but I did make sure that I didn't eat anything that was not healthy but I went to WhichWhich and I had a hot dog. So it seems that although I mowed the lawn, stood on my feet most of the day, AND did a two mile walk I was still up .7 lbs. I am hoping that changes tomorrow but I guess we will just have to wait and see. One thing I can say is that I am looking forward to the workout tomorrow rather than dreading it like I was the last few workouts yesterday.

I was wrong
So it seems I was wrong and I jumped the gun a little early, I like to weigh my self the morning after my last workout or deadline to see what I lost up to that point. When I weighed myself today I was down another .7 lbs which put me into the 201 area and that much closer to my goal. I am going to have to work hard on to get to my end of the month goal but with tomorrow being a workout day and a two mile walk for babies on Sunday I think I should do a pretty good job to lose a little more weight this weekend. I have to say one thing, work today was crazy and non-stop things to do from beginning to end and when the pizza and salad showed up today at work all I wanted to do was tear into it and eat about a half a pizza especially since there were 7 pizzas left over at the end of the day but I was good and only ate a salad. I guess we will see if it pays off tomorrow.

Two big events today!
So it is finally done, today I did the last workout in the 60 day challenge. Here are the highlights, I did all 34 workouts and on most weeks I did an additional workout on Saturday. The tracker said I burned almost 10,000 calories since starting the challenge but I am not all that sure if that calorie count included the fifth workout I was doing most weeks or not. I lost another .7 lbs this morning which brings my weight down to 202.4 lbs which means that I have lost 63 lbs in the 101 days since I decided to lose weight and 36 of them were lost during the sixty day challenge. The second bit of news is that according to WiiFit I am no longer obese I am just overweight, I know that still isn't great and I am just barely in the overweight but I have entered the next classification none the less. I can't help but to think back to the days when I would get on the scale and the little indicator bar for my BMI would go all the way to the top of the chart and the number would keep counting because MY BMI number was larger than the highest number of the graph it is nice that those days are over. Now I can really start going for the normal range on WiiFit which is still about 40 lbs away but since that is about how much more I want to lose that should just about line up with my over all goal. Today at work they are serving us salad greens which is much better than the KFC and Burgers we have had earlier this week. Tonight is also a school night with a lab that is going to give the students trouble so I should get a little running around the classroom done today. The stars are lining up for me to have a good day of weight loss today but I guess we will know for sure tomorrow.

The big 100
Well today was day 100! when I weighed myself this morning I had another small loss which put me to an even 203 labs which is the lightest I have been in at least four years. Still 13 lbs away from being 190 like I want to be at the end of the month, but hey it is not the end of the world if I don't get there as long as I continue to move in the right direction. Yesterday I said that I should be doing an upper body workout since I did two full body workouts the last few day and it turns out I was way wrong. Today was a lower body workout which means that my legs that were a little sore this morning are going to be way sore tomorrow, all I can say is that I hope beyond hope that tomorrow, the last day by the way, is an upper body workout or I am going to be in a world of hurt. A few days ago I mentioned not being sure what I was going to do next well I have made my decision. I was at best buy yesterday and noticed the EA Active 2 is only 40 dollars so I will be picking that up and will go through the 60 day challenge in that for my next workout. Yes, I know I have done quite a bit of EA Active but you stick with what works you know. I will start talking about how that journey goes beginning next week.

Two days to go
Well, this morning I made up the workout that I missed yesterday and I can tell you one quick thing, I am glad that I skipped it. Needless to say it was pretty darn hard, if NFL Training camp does not throw me a curve ball I should be doing another "Upper Body" workout which as you should know from reading this requires a lot of running, jumping, and squatting but compared to the full body and the lower body workouts this is a cake walk. Today I weighed myself like I do most mornings and saw that I went down 1.3 lbs which puts me very close to getting out of the Obese zone in WiiFit. As of this morning I have lost a total of 62.4 lbs in 99 days with tomorrow being big day 100. If you do the math on the average weight loss per day I should lose another 11 lbs by the end of the month with is great but will have me falling just short of my end of April goal so I am going to hope that the pace picks up a little bit. I ate a lunch today that I was sorry for right after the fact, even though it was pretty low cal I am thinking that I may have misjudged my portion sizes and consumed more calories that I wanted to. I guess we will see tomorrow after my post workout weigh in. I will let everyone know how the big 100th day weigh in goes.

On the final week
Well this is the last week of my 60 day challenge and I should be telling you I only have two workouts left but when I got up this morning I was sore from doing two full body workouts in a row over the weekend so I decided I would do today's workout tomorrow. That will give me three workouts in a row to finish up but at least they will be full body, upper body, lower body then I will be done. As of this morning I was at 61 lbs lost since starting by weight loss at the start of the year. That means that I have lost 34 lbs since starting the 60 day challenge and I hope to lose about three more by the end of it. Come Friday morning I will let everyone know what I am at in the way of weight loss once the entire 60 day challenge has come to a close.

Was rolling but it has come to an end
Well, I still have not caught up with my missed workouts. The alarm went off today and I just couldn't get up and my legs were still hurting from yesterday so I decided it better to take the day off and will get caught up tomorrow. Once I got better from when I was feeling sick I started to lose weight pretty quickly but then I weighed in again today and it seemed that I gained .7 lbs which I didn't understand. I hope that things get a little better tomorrow otherwise there is no way I am going to be able to meet the 190 I want by the end of the month.

Not the way I thought that April would start
Well, we are in a new month now and I am starting to work towards getting to my goal of 190 lbs before the end of April. I can't say that I am off to all that great a start for the month. On Saturday I didn't do my normal 5th workout of the week because we went to the zoo instead which is way more fun and worth it anyway. After church on Saturday I went with my wife and daughter to have dinner at my father in laws house, this was the first time I have had a pasta dish in almost 6 weeks. Needles to say that did not make my next weigh in go all that great as I gained .9 lbs from the pasta. The next few days I ended up almost getting sick and not feeling all that well so I didn't have the energy to get my workouts done since I was hardly getting through the day as it was. No I am a few workouts behind on the sixty day challenge and am working to get back on track now. Today should have been a rest day but since I needed to make up the two workouts that I missed I woke up this morning and got one of the two done. The next two days will be my scheduled Wednesday and Thursday workouts which give me Friday morning to make up my second missed workout and get back on track. I still plan on doing my normal Saturday upper body workout I made and then a whole new week begins on Sunday (The first of my last four workouts to end the sixty day challenge) taking a look at the calendar that is putting a hard week on me because in order for me to get my workouts caught up and do my normal five workouts a week I will be working out everyday from today to next Monday. I guess we will just have to see how that goes. One last thing to mention, when I weighed myself this morning I had dropped 1.3 lbs and and now 2.6 lbs from my next 5 lbs lost WiiFit goal and 18 lbs from my 190 end of April goal
