Can't wait to have more energy!

A couple of good things have happened to me this week and in the upcoming week. First of all I broke the 35 lbs mark and have made it to over 37 lbs. The next thing that is happening is that I a on my last week of 3 classes a week. This is going to give me so mug more time and energy to keep on going with the weight loss. I just finished my two days off with NFL training camp and am starting up the next workout in just a little bit. This week my rest days are changing and I will soon have Saturday and Sunday off from training camp. I am still trying to make it a point to work out 5 times a week so on one of my two days off I did the 30 minute EA active workout. Not quite as hard as the 60 minute workout but still tough. I will keep posting and trust me the world will know when I make it to fourth lbs lost

Back on track

Need less to say it has been very busy for me this week when it comes to school work, work work, and trying to exercise everyday like I should. I still have not missed a workout in NFL training camp, not all that huge an feat since it has only been about two weeks but still something to brag about. I was was saying this week I felt like I was in a rut because weight stopped coming off and every time I weighed myself it either was not moving or was only going down by .5 or .7 lbs. I weighed again yesterday and it had dropped 2.4 lbs. This makes me very happy because it brought me down under the 230 mark (not by much but still below the 230 mark. I had made an end of Feb. goal to get to a total of 40 lbs but I will get pretty darn close. I have decided that my end of March goal will be to get down to 210 lbs. I will keep posted on how that goes.

Feel like I am stuck in a rut

So Whitney went out of town on Friday and came back Saturday night around 8. I spent this time alone doing all kinds of extra exercises since I had a little more time to do so. This is how the weekend went for me. Friday I walked around the zoo for about 2 hours with Haley (not that it was fast waking but walking none the less). Once I got back from the zoo I fed Haley and but her to bed for one serious nap. While she was napping I took the time to do the hard upper body workout in EA Active since I figured all the walking was plenty for lower body. On Saturday, as I mentioned before I went for the marathon circuit on easy in EA Active (That is the hour long full body work out). I don't know if easy would be the right term for the workout but I did get through it. Once those were done I started back up on the NFL Training camp workouts. Between yesterday and today and not resting I was wiped out by the end of it. There is no way that I will be working out on my rest day tomorrow. If I don't rest I think that I will end up passing out if I tried to exercise. The thing that makes me feel like I have been in a rut is that all that extra work and my weight didn't move one bit between Friday and Monday, I would have thought for sure I would have seen something. I guess we will see what happen on the next weigh in.

No Pain, No Gain, NO KIDDING

I have been talking about it for a few days and and today I finally did it. I went for the marathon circuit (easy) workout on EA Active. The work out is about an hour long and does a little bit of every type of workout; lower body, upper body, cardio, and sports for a total of 42 exercises. When I started the workout it projected that I would burn 489 kcal, I ended up buring 549 kcal. This was a very hard workout and doing it is going to make my NFL Training camp tomorrow next to impossible I am betting. Three times in the workout you do four sets of lower body squats/lunges in a row. Once you have done all that they decide to throw a 40 second squat hold at you, then a lap and a half of kick ups. Once all that is done you start on the upper body workouts, then in the middle of the upper body they throw a run (Very long), at you. I didn't even know EA Active had a very long run, for those of you that didn't know that either it is 5 laps around the track. I just finished the long work out and am taking a minute to cool of and let my body recover a little bit as my legs feel like noodles and I have to climb upstairs in order to take a shower. I know this will be worth the work but damn it was tough.

Great day with Haley

Today was daddy daughter day, the two of us went to the zoo and watched a few of the animals but spent more time walking around and taking a look at the sticks and leaves on the ground. We started in our stroller but once I took Haley out of it to go into a building that didn't allow strollers there was no going back to it. Needles to say today was not the day that I did my hour long workout with EA Active since I spent two hours walking around the zoo which I think counts as a bit of a workout. Once I got home and put Haley to bed I did the upper body workout in the original EA Active on hard to go along with all the walking I did. Tomorrow I am going to do the hour long workout in EA Active and if the 30 minute one is any indication the hour one is going to be hard. I am looking forward to it. I am more motivated as ever now that I have passed the 30 lbs mark. By the way when I weighed myself today I was another .8 lbs lighter. I know it is not a whole lot but I love to continue to watch it going down. I'm sure I will have something to say tomorrow when I finish the hour workout.

Finally reached a milestone I have been waiting on

I got on the scale again today and finally reached a milestone that seemed to be out of reach for a few weeks now. I have finally lost a total of 30 lbs since the start of the year, 31 to be exact. I am six days (four workouts) and am supposed to rest for the next to days. This morning was the shortest workout in the way of number of exercises but the most calories have have burned today. Now that I have reached the 30 Lbs mark I am more motivated than ever to keep it up so I don't think that I will be working out both days I am supposed to rest but I plan to do some kind of exercise during the time off. I just want to keep going. By my goal I am 70 lbs from where I want to be but according to WiiFit I am 90 lbs from being my ideal weight. Little too skinny if you ask me.

One heck of a day yesterday

So yesterday at work was stupid busy, I was able to bill every little bit of time I spent in the office. Things did not go all that great either. I didn't get a chance to call someone I was supposed to call as the day just ran out of time and later on that evening I was able to completely delete half of  a client's email in just a few clicks. I did get it back today so I think all is well with the world. Yesterday was also an off day in NFL Training Camp. I was going to wake up and workout with EA Active or WiiFit just to keep up the good work on my day off but most of my body was sore so I listened to my lovely wife Whitney and took the scheduled day off. I did start back up working out today and after a day or two of gaining .7 lbs (Due to muscle mass I'm sure) I am back to losing. My weight dropped 1.1 lbs since my last weigh in and I am slowly approaching the 30 lb mark. I hope to get there before Monday but that might be a little tough, I will keep you posted. I am still WAY behind in grading papers for school so I will have to put that on my list of things to do as well, don't know when that will happen but it has to happen soon. Poor Haley has been sick but is starting to feel better. I was planning to take her to the zoo Friday afternoon but we will have to wait and see if he is feeling better first.

Well that is really all I have to say for the moment and I already need to cut my lunch short due to how busy I am.

Talking about weight loss goal

So yesterday i tried to start my sixty day challenge on NFL training camp but was not able to because of the say they do schedules so I will be starting it today. I hope that this works as well as the ea active 30 day challenge did seeing as I lost 27 pounds during it. I did the Patriots workout yesterday and it was a lot of jumping and lunging but it was pretty good. I was not able to do all the exercises because I couldn't get the game to see me on two of them and just had to skip them. If anyone else is doing one of the ea exercise games and wants to share some feedback thoughts or advice please feel free to comment I am working quite hard to lose all the weight that I want to lose and will listed to any advice you want to offer.

Until next time

Things that are happening now

Please ignore any typos, I am writing this first entry on my iPad while I watch my 18 month old Haley. Here is what i have going on right now, I am in the middle of a weight lose kick that I started at the beginning of the year (just like everyone else on the planet). I am going to try and take my last test to be come an MCITP before the end of the month, school only has about a month left and work has been chugging right along. I know a lot of this does not make a lot of sense so let me explain.

I have a daughter who is the cutiest smartest little girl in the world she is 18 months old, gets spoiled by her grandparents like all children, and getting smarter everyday. I'm sure the ivy league school she gets into will cost a fortune.

Twice in my life I have managed to lose 100 pounds, the only problem with that is that I seem to find it again each time. I am working on trying to lose 100 pounds again this year but this time I want to keep it off. I am 40 days into working out almost everyday and dieting and have lost almost 30 pounds since I started. Later I will talk about how I am doing it and how it is going.

I work two jobs, the night job is working and an IT instructor at ITT-Tech. This set of classes I am teach three which gives me 14 hour work days three days out of the week. A little too much for me so I can't wait for it to be over.

My full time job is an IT consultant for a company in metro center just outside of downtown Nashville. I have been there for almost 3 years now and am about to get my 9th certification in Microsoft server this week. That will make me the highest ranked MS server certified professional you can get.

Ok that is a long winded overview of what a week in the life of Justin is. I will get into my life in more detail as things I feel are worth sharing come up. Please come by often, and if anyone knows how to delete a blog that would like to share that with me that would be great.
